Forget The Office – Steve Carell has a new business endeavor.

The star of the NBC Thursday-night sitcom recently bought the Marshfield Hills General store in the Massachusetts town where he lives part time.

Carrell's sister-in-law, Tish Vivaldo, will be in charge of the 155-year-old business – which during the Civil War sold Union army uniforms.

The store's previous owner, Sherry Bechtold says Carrell told her he wanted it "for the right reasons" and will preserve the site as a store, reports the Patriot-Ledger.

Added Bechthold: "He's a lovely guy, very down to earth. He thinks this is a real bit of Americana."
