Rachel Griffiths, who revealed to PEOPLE
last week that she is expecting her third child, says she's sailing through her latest pregnancy.
"I feel great – it's just great," the Brothers & Sisters
star told PEOPLE at the Australia Week 2009 Black Tie Gala in Los Angeles Sunday night, where the Aussie actress was presented with the Excellence in Television & Film award by costars Sally Field and Matthew Rhys.
She also revealed her due date – and said she's happy her secret is finally out.
"I'm due in July. I'm in my second trimester and it's just amazing. I'm just relieved I don't have to suck my stomach in anymore," she laughed. "Not that it fooled anyone the other day [at the Golden Globes]."
Griffiths, 40, addressed her buzzed-about choice of a gold toga-like dress at the Golden Globes, explaining that she "was, like, hiding under that gold dress. I kinda wasn't ready to announce it then, but it provoked so many questions I was like, 'Alright, okay, let's just not pretend anymore.' And now I can't suck in anymore – it's out."
The actress is already mom to 5-year-old son Banjo Patrick, who is named for Australian poet Andrew Barton "Banjo" Paterson, and daughter Adelaide Rose, 3, with her husband Andrew Taylor.
