Justin Timberlake took matters into his own hands when it came to convincing Beyoncé he could pull off the musical skit when she was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live Nov. 15.

Dropping into her dressing room, Timberlake also dropped his bathrobe – revealing himself in a leotard as he stared blankly into space.

"I can't look anywhere but your face right now," Timberlake, on a CBS pre-Grammy show to air next week, told interviewer Katie Couric about Beyoncé's reaction to his display, the Associated Press reports.

Beyoncé was convinced: Timberlake, in a black leotard and high heels, danced to "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," one of the tracks from Beyoncé's new album, I Am … Sasha Fierce.

Couric also wasn't shy when it came to asking Timberlake about his mother's reaction to his infamous December 2006 SNL music video with Andy Samberg, in which Timberlake offered a piece of his anatomy as a gift.

Mom laughed. "You gotta meet my mom," Timberlake said. "She's a pretty edgy chick!"
