"I hope she's happy, whatever size she comes in," Lachey tells Extra. "I wish her nothing but the best."
Lachey, 35, joins a chorus of other celebs supporting Simpson, 28, including sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum.
"I can't believe it's this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it," Lachey says. "I'm never ceased to be amazed by people's reaction to things."
