Could David Beckham's American adventure be coming to an end?

Possibly, according to the boss of the Italian soccer club in which the game's most famous hunk is playing while his LA Galaxy team is on winter hiatus.

"Beckham's lawyers are talking to the Los Angeles Galaxy, who are the rightful owners of his registration," Britain's Press Association quotes AC Milan's general manager Adriano Galliani as saying. "If they show themselves to be ready to look at a deal, we would be really happy to do so."

He added, "We are looking to get him either on loan until the end of the season or on a permanent basis. Otherwise, with the greatest regret from everyone – starting with me – Beckham will have to go."

Milan and Galaxy Need to Come to an Agreement

In July 2007, Beckham joined the LA Galaxy and, with wife Victoria and their three sons, settled into Beverly Hills. This winter, he moved to Milan to maintain his fitness.

Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times quoted Galliani telling an Italian newspaper that he would like to keep the midfield ace.

On Wednesday, Beckham's U.K. spokesman had no comment. Beckham himself told the BBC that he'd like to stay in Milan. "I have expressed my desire to stay," he said. "Now it's just down to Milan and Galaxy to come to an agreement."

The soccer star is scheduled to return to the Galaxy on March 9, when his loan deal with AC Milan ends.
