THRILLER
How uninterested is Taken in being believable? Before tough guy Liam Neeson (below) blows 'em away, not one bad guy approached by his retired special-ops veteran bothers to ask why an American is barking Irish-accented English at them in Paris, even as he sometimes flashes credentials identifying himself as a French official. In this violent, by-the-numbers drama, Neeson has 96 hours to track down his teenage daughter (Grace) after she is kidnapped in Paris and sold into the sex trade. It's all très fatigué.
