COUNTRY
Having racked up a string of Top 10 country singles since his 2003 debut—including five No. 1 hits—Dierks Bentley has lived up to the CMA Horizon Award that he won in 2005. His latest Top 10er is the title tune of his fourth studio album, and it's a solid midtempo charmer. But like most of Feel That Fire, it fails to really bring the heat. Bentley is especially tepid when trying to kick into foot-stomping gear on tracks like "Sideways." The guy just can't get the party started. He's better on the wistful ballad "I Can't Forget Her" and the lilting, uplifting "Beautiful World" (featuring Patty Griffin).
