Debuting in the year's Best Picture is a hard act to follow, but Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto already have new projects on the horizon.

Pinto, who played Latika in Slumdog, which scooped up eight Oscars Sunday night, will join a cast that includes Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins in Woody Allen's latest (still unnamed) film, according to Variety.

The paper earlier reported that Slumdog lead Patel will work withSixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan on The Last Airbender, based on the popular Nickelodeon kid's series. Patel took over the role of baddie Prince Zuko from singer Jessse McCartney.

The stars – lovers in the film and buddies in real life – said their breakout year has been beyond belief. "In many ways it's a blessing and a start of a new life," Pinto told PEOPLE of the film's success.

Patel, meanwhile, described the experience as "very dreamlike. I mean hopefully I don't wake up one day and it's all like a big dream!"
