PEOPLE has a sneak peek as Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz flex their acting chops on an upcoming episode of CSI: NY.
The husband-and-wife musicians guest star as a Bonnie and Clyde-like couple on the CBS drama, airing March 18. In this clip, they get caught up in a drug deal gone wrong.
"I wish I got the chance to be murdered or rob a bank but I heard the make-up is much longer for that," Wentz, 29, recently told PEOPLE.
"It's easy to play passionate roles with the person you love," the Fall Out Boy bassist says of acting alongside Simpson-Wentz, 24, who gave birth to son Bronx two months before filming the episode in January. "There's nothing weird about it when you love the person."
The hit crime franchise will feature another musician moonlighting as an actor: Taylor Swift, 19, plays a teenager whose family runs a Las Vegas motel in tonight's episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, airing at 9 p.m. on CBS.
