Goody, 27, who has been battling cervical cancer since last August, set aside some of her belongings and letters for her sons Bobby, 5, and Freddy, 4 – and has reportedly asked her mom Jackiey not to let the boys see her die.
On a glorious spring-like day Monday, her husband Jack Tweed – whom she wed last month after her illness was determined to be terminal – propped her up in her bed in her home in Essex so she could see the sunny fields outside, according to the U.K. newspaper The Sun.
Makes 'Memory Box'But there was sadness when a planned visit by Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, with whom Goody famously clashed on Britain's Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, had to be canceled.
Goody and Shetty reconciled after Goody apologized for comments she made on the show, and the Indian actress had hoped to pay one last visit. But Goody's spokesman Max Clifford explained to reporters, "She is not well. Shilpa totally understands that."
Goody left the hospital where she was being treated March 11 to be home with her family. Days earlier, she and her sons were baptized at the London facility.
"I'm not scared of dying any more," Goody told the U.K. version of OK! magazine. She added that she has made a "memory box" including "loads of letters" written to her sons, and other items such as copies of her TV shows and fitness DVDs she has made.
No RegretsThe star, who appeared on the British version of Big Brother and several other show, sold the rights to her wedding to the press to pay for the boys' education. "I absolutely loved making every single one of my TV shows and I hope I've given you lots of laughs to remember me by," she told new! magazine.
She also wrote, "It's horrible saying goodbye not knowing if I'll see them again. I just want us to spend as much time together as we can."
