"You know what? He's doing what everybody else is doing – he's taking it one day at a time," the actress told the British TV show GMTV.
Swayze, 56, has been fighting pancreatic cancer for more than a year but he is remaining positive and has a host of work projects under way. "He does not have an expiration date on his backside – none of us do – we just know at some point it's going to happen and that's how he's looking at it," she says.
Goldberg, 53, who spoke during promotion of her musical comedy Sister Act in London's West End, marveled at Swayze's energy to work.
"But, you know, he's got a new TV show going, he's, you know, he’s just walking forward. So he's in good spirits. He's thin, but he's in good spirits."
In March, Swayze – who has been starring in the A&E series The Beast and working on a book – said he was staying positive and issued a statement denying negative rumors about his prognosis.
Goldberg herself stays positive with a little music in her life.
"I love musicals because I think everyone wants to sometimes – going down the street – just burst into song and just start dancing down the street, which occasionally I do do."
