Jackman, 40, is due to produce and star in a screen adaptation of the Doug TenNapel's graphic novel Ghostopolis, about a Supernatural Immigration Task Force agent who teams with a female ghost (an ex-girlfriend) to retrieve a boy accidentally sent to the other side, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The project, which has yet to attach a writer or director, is set up at Disney Studios and is but one of author-artist TenNapel's titles being fitted to the big screen. Paramount has the rights to make Monster Zoo, described on Amazon.com as "the story of a young boy who discovers his local zoo may be more frightening than he imagined!"
