Miss California USA Carrie Prejean's crown has been saved by Donald Trump despite her semi-nude photo scandal. Take a look back at the trials, tribulations and trip-ups of other famous Misses and vote for the most notorious beauty queen fail.
Name: Carrie Prejean
Title: Miss California USA
Claim to shame: After getting into a war of words with Miss USA 2009 judge and blogger Perez Hilton, topless photos of Prejean popped up on the Internet. State pageant spokesman Roger Neal told the AP that Prejean had "violated multiple items" in her contract, which requires crown-holders to conducted themselves "in accordance with the highest ethical and moral standards." Later, Trump said of the revealing photos: "We are in the 21st century. We have determined that the pictures taken were fine."
Name: Lauren Caitlin Upton
Title: Miss South Carolina Teen USA
Claim to shame: When asked about polls indicating that as many as one-fifth of Americans cannot locate their own country on a map, Upton completely mangled her answer with a string of out-of-the-blue references to "the Iraq" and "Asian countries." Despite her nonsensical response to the question, Upton finished as third runner-up and became an absolute YouTube.com sensation.
Name: Tara Conner
Title: Miss USA 2006
Claim to shame: In December of 2006, reports surfaced of Conner's alleged drug and alcohol abuse, indiscretions with men and her apparent lack of reliability when it came to showing up at Miss USA-related events. Pageant owner Donald Trump decided not to fire her as Miss USA, telling reporters at a news conference, "I've always been a believer in second chances."
Name: Crystle Stewart and Rachel Smith
Title: Miss USA 2008 and Miss USA 2007
Claim to shame: In July of 2008, Crystle Stewart slipped during the evening-gown competition at the 57th annual Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam. One year before, Rachel Smith also slipped during the parade of gowns at the same pageant in Mexico City.
Name: Lindsey Evans
Title: Miss Teen Louisiana
Claim to shame: Evans lost her title in 2008 after getting arrested on charges of skipping out on a $46 tab – and leaving behind a bag allegedly containing marijuana. Called to the Posados Café in Bossier City, La., police found Evans's driver's license in the purse, which also contained a substance suspected to be marijuana.
