Ever the gentleman, when asked how it felt making out with Aniston while the two were shooting in New York, Bateman said with a chuckle, "It felt ... It was a good scene, I'll say that. It was a good scene."
The actor, who spoke to PEOPLE at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday in Washington, D.C., says he and Aniston have been friends "for a long time," but they got even closer during their latest movie, which focuses on a single, 40-year-old woman who decides to have a child via a sperm donor. Little does she know, her friend (played by Bateman) surreptitiously replaces her donor's semen with his own.
"It's nice to finally work together," says Bateman. "I think we just had one scene in The Break-Up. It's been a lot of fun."
