Jamie Foxx Tapped to Host BET Awards

Jamie Foxx will play a new role – award ceremony host – at the BET Awards on June 28. The Soloist star has been tapped to emcee the ceremony, which will air live from Los Angeles's Shrine Auditorium.

BET has also confirmed that Maxwell and Ne-Yo will perform at the show, and the O'Jays will receive a lifetime achievement award.

Foxx was nominated for a BET Award in 2006 for best collaboration for his song "Unpredictable" with Ludacris.
