Robin Wright Penn Sips Moët as Split Is Called Off
Attending the annual amfAR gala at the Hotel du Cap, along the coast from the Cannes Film Festival, the 43-year-old joined a blonde pal Thursday night and was clearly in good spirits, smoking cigarettes, dancing and drinking Moët et Chandon champagne.
The actress, who is a juror at the prestigious festival, greeted celebrity pals such as Eli Roth and designer's niece Roberta Armani with hugs and kisses.
She was overheard telling Roth that she partied all night on Wednesday at the bash to promote the Brad Pitt movie, Inglourious Basterds, saying she had the "best time ever." Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie also celebrated past 1 a.m. at the movie's party.
Wright Penn has been sampling the nightlife as well as keeping her head down watching the eclectic selection of movies during the festival fortnight. In the first week, she donned skinny jeans and a lightweight leather top to watch Debbie Harry sing French Kissing In the USA at the lively Belevedere IX vodka promotion. She also glammed up for the Art of Elysium/Grey Goose bash at a magnificent waterside chateau hosted by Soho House on May 16.
Away from jury duties, work has included a "snowy" photo shoot to promote Disney's A Christmas Carol alongside Jim Carrey and Colin Firth.
Sean Penn, 48, filed for a legal separation in April but called it off Tuesday. This is the second time the couple has revoked plans of separation. The pair, who have two children, started divorce proceedings in 2007, only to reverse the decision four months later.
While Wright Penn has been in Cannes, her husband has been in New York shooting movie Fair Game about CIA agent Valerie Plame.
