To the delight of fan-pires everywhere, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner debuted the trailer for Twilight sequel New Moon at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night.
The highly-anticipated preview – which ran under two minutes – gave Twilighters a first look at Jacob's transformation from Bella's best bud to her werewolf protector against a familiar foe. Team Jacob fans were treated to their first taste of the buff bod that won Lautner back the role he famously fought to keep.
Viewers also got a sneak peek (on MTV and MySpace) at Bella's birthday, in which Bella's paper cut sends newbie "vegetarian" vampire Jasper into a bloodthirsty rage. After Edward is forced to protect Bella from his own family, he realizes she will always be in danger if they are together, and flees Forks in hopes of giving his mortal love a better life.
The drama unfolds next fall, when New Moon opens on Nov. 20, 2009.
