First Lady Michelle Obama will be hosting Nancy Reagan at a private lunch – just the two of them – in the White House family living quarters. "She just thinks the world of you," President Obama whispered to Mrs. Reagan on Tuesday when she attended a Washington, D.C., bill-signing ceremony to create the Ronald Reagan Centennial Commission.

The former First Lady, who had not met the President before, seemed charmed as he put pen to paper. "You're a lefty?" she asked. "I'm a lefty," he answered. Handing her one of the souvenir pens he used to sign the bill, he somewhat sheepishly said, "You have plenty of presidential pens."

As for Mrs. Obama, she and Mrs. Reagan spoke by phone after President Obama's election last November, when Mrs. Obama called for advice about the job of First Lady and life in the executive mansion. Mrs. Reagan said in an interview with Vanity Fair that her advice to the Obamas was to have lots of state dinners.

The former First Lady, 88, who lives in California, is in Washington for the unveiling of a statue of Ronald Reagan in the Capitol and a reunion of former members of the Reagan administration.
