The ruling means that the case can be expunged from her record after the six- to 12-month period – as long as she doesn't get in trouble again. Bensimon was also slapped with a partial order of protection, which means if she attacks he ex again she could face harsher penalties. Judge Michael Yavinsky ruled that the reality star will also have to serve two days of community service.
"The truth has been exposed and the charges against me will be dismissed,” Bensimon said in a statement to PEOPLE. "It is now time to continue to focus on raising my beautiful girls, pursuing my career, and raising awareness against domestic violence. "
On March 5, Bensimon, 40, was arrested for allegedly punching her sometimes boyfriend, Nick Stefanov, in the face. Stefanov did not show up for the first hearing on the case, on March 31, or for Monday’s hearing.
