Kate, meanwhile, signed autographed pictures for some teenaged girls who spotted her outside the supermarket. "So sorry to hear about the divorce," said one of them. "We still love you, Kate."
When reporters asked how she was doing, Kate responded, "I'm fine," but declined to say how the kids are faring.
Monday night's episode attracted 10.6 million viewers, the largest audience ever for the TLC show, reports EW.com. Next week, a retrospective of the Gosselins' 10 years of marriage will air, followed by the show's going on hiatus Aug. 3, as a means to give the family "some time off to regroup," says a TLC spokeswoman. A "modified" schedule of programming will then support the family's transition, the rep added.
