There will be no wedding bells for Rachel Hunter. The supermodel and her hockey player fiancé Jarret Stoll have called off their wedding, PEOPLE has learned.
"Can Associates Limited regret to inform you that the August wedding of Rachel Hunter and Jarret Stoll has been cancelled and the couple have decided to split," Hunter's rep says in a statement. "We ask you to respect Rachel and her family's privacy during this extremely upsetting time."
In May, Hunter, 39, told PEOPLE she and Stoll, 27, who plays for the Los Angeles Kings, would tie the knot in Northern California in mid-August – but also noted they were weighing other locations for the ceremony. "I need to be given less time than a year to plan, because I change my mind so often," she said at the time.
"It was going to be in Mexico, but we decided otherwise. I've made seven changes to the location."
Hunter, previously married to Rod Stewart, and Stoll became engaged
in August 2008 after dating for about two years. The two lived together in Los Angeles with Hunter's teenage children by Stewart, Renee and Liam.
