Ryan Gosling Is Making an Album
Just don't expect him to go pop.
The actor and his friend Zach Shields will release their debut album on Oct. 6, under the name Dead Man's Bones, the music site Pitchfork Media reports. The self-titled disc will come out on indie label Anti Records, and feature contributions from the Silverlake Conservatory Children's Choir, an L.A.-based children's chorus. A concept record of sorts, Dead Man's Bones took about two years to complete, Gosling told Pitchfork in January.
"You know when you're a kid and you get crayons and papers and just draw whatever you want and it's just a bunch of messy lines, but to you it makes sense, and then they put it on the fridge," Gosling said of the project at the time. "We wanted to get back to that place before we were trying to make the fridge. We wanted to work with people who hadn't been affected in that way yet."
