The Chicago bomb squad was called in when a security guard found a suspicious package – a dark-colored backpack with wires hanging out of it – in a flowerbed outside Oprah Winfrey's television studio on Friday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The backpack, which was discovered around 6:20 a.m., did not explode, and Winfrey's Harpo Productions studio did not have to be evacuated, police say.

Police are still investigating the contents of the package.
