Tom Brady turned 32 on Monday, and it looks like everyone remembered his special day.
The New England Patriots quarterback was appearing on SIRIUS XM's Mad Dog Radio Show on Monday when his parents, Tom and Galynn, called in and surprised him by singing "Happy Birthday." It was a special sacrifice for Brady's west coast-based parents, who had to get up at 3:45 a.m. to perform the serenade.
"I wasn't expecting this," Brady laughed.
The fun continued at football practice later that afternoon. According to the Boston Globe
, players stole Brady's helmet during the pre-practice stretches. Then, during the huddle, the team ambushed Brady by pouring a bucket of ice water over his head and rubbing cake in his face.
At least the celebration included more singing than pranks. Brady also enjoyed the front row of a Coldplay concert in Boston, sitting just a few feet away from lead singer Chris Martin.
