Get Ready for the Jon Gosselin Pool Party

Jon Gosselin is going to take the plunge in Vegas.

The star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 – now minus Kate, having filed for divorce – is set to host a pool party at MGM Grand's Wet Republic on Aug. 29.

An announcement was sent saying "America's favorite father" would be at the party for "a little R&R and will be hosting poolside." He'll be in town in two weeks for the MAGIC fashion trade show and his involvement with the Christian Audigier clothing line.

Sin City is just another stop for the suddenly single father of eight, who has been spotted in Saint-Tropez, Manhattan and The Hamptons. As per his hosting duties, Gosselin won't be required to do anything in particular, but often times celebrities will jump on the microphone and address the crowd while deejays typically play popular music from rock, hip-hop and techno music.

Gosselin will become the latest celebrity pool party host. Past hosts at Wet Republic include Lindsay Lohan, Kendra Wilkinson, Kim Kardashian, Lauren Conrad, and Mario Lopez.
