Kelly Clarkson, LeBron James to 'Get Schooled' Across TV

The special, which will air simultaneously Sept. 8 (8 p.m. ET) on BET, MTV, VH1, CMT, Comedy Central, Spike TV and Nickelodeon, will include flashbacks and new footage as it focuses on the educational moments that helped Clarkson's music director Jason Halbert and Latesha Williams, who works on James's marketing team, achieve their levels of success.
"Lots of young people run into problems beyond their control, like finances, that keep them from pursuing their education," Clarkson, 27, said in a statement. "At that point, it's easy to give up. But I believe it's important to continue to work hard and learn from everyone and everything around you."
The special serves as the kickoff to the national initiative "Get Schooled," developed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Viacom and which will allow people to address challenges facing public schools across the country.
