Tom Cavanagh Welcomes Third Child

It's a boy for Tom Cavanagh! The actor and wife Maureen welcomed a son, James Joseph Cavanagh, on Aug. 5, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

Baby James – who weighed 7.8 lbs. and was 20 inches long – joins older siblings Thomas Patrick, 2, and Alice Ann, 3 ½.

The former Ed and Love Monkey star and his wife, a photo editor at Sports Illustrated, have been married for five years.

Cavanagh, 45, was recently on TNT's Trust Me opposite Eric McCormack and is currently prepping to star in Hairbrained.
