Bradley Cooper & Renée Zellweger
When Renée Zellweger and Bradley Cooper shared a cozy dinner in New York City in late June, it was hard to know what would happen next. After all, in recent months Cooper, 34, has been linked to Jennifer Aniston, and he's also spent time with Mary-Kate Olsen and Lake Bell. But his fling with Zellweger (his costar in the upcoming Case 39), 40, has staying power. On Aug. 8 they jetted to Spain for the premiere of The Hangover. And before the trip, Zellweger was spotted visiting N.Y.C.'s Smyth Hotel, where Cooper was a guest. "They tried to keep the visits very low-key," a source tells Scoop. Their reps are mum, but one of her pals is rooting for the romance: "They make a great couple. He's a gentleman, and she's so sweet. They get along well; they have fun together, and they're really happy."
IS PAULA REALLY DONE WITH IDOL?
Paula Abdul's refusal to sign a multiyear, eight-figure contract with American Idol may be a negotiating tactic. "[FOX] was low-balling her and putting restrictions on her contract," explains a friend, who says her previous annual salary was about $3 million. "If they offer her a good deal, she might [reconsider]." FOX honcho Mike Darnell counters, "Anything could happen, but at the moment we're taking it at face value and moving on." But Abdul need not worry about her next gig: Execs at So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars have indicated interest in working with her.

Lester, who is not certain of his paternity, says he donated sperm to Jackson, he is godfather to all three Jackson kids and that they share a "special bond." Katherine Jackson's attorney L. Londell McMillan says these are claims "with no legal standing."
Are Jessica and John Hanging Out Again?
Contrary to a report that claims exes Jessica Simpson, 29, and John Mayer, 31, met up at Katsuya Hollywood Aug. 1, sources say they weren't even there the same night. "They're friendly but that's it," says a pal, adding the pair are indeed in touch, but only via text messages.
STEPHEN MOYER & ANNA PAQUIN
According to Paquin, 27, who's set to wed Moyer, 39, her True Blood costar, their love scenes are now a lot easier: "If you're with that person," she says, "you're not having to get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone I don't even know the middle name of!'"
No necking jokes, please, but romance is in the air for these sexy Twilight and True Blood stars
ROBERT PATTINSON & KRISTEN STEWART
Twilight costars Pattinson, 23, and Stewart, 19, hit L.A.'s Hotel Cafe Aug. 6 and 7 and then dined at Palihouse on Aug. 8. One sign, says a source, that Stewart's smitten: "She is usually very serious and almost moody, but she acted giddy with Rob."

The star of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra reveals how he unwinds, what makes him proud and how his love life differs from a soap opera
1 What was your last music download?
Michael Jackson. I wanted to make sure I had all of his stuff. And I went all the way back to the Jackson 5 and got their greatest hits. They inspired my family so much. My sisters wanted me to be named after Michael but my mom chose Marlon.
2 Are you a big tipper?
Absolutely, but I ain't crazy. My daddy was a cab driver and lived off tips. If it wasn't for tips, we probably wouldn't have had dinner some nights.
3 What's your favorite way to unwind?
Take a hot bath, read a script and have a glass of wine.
4 What's the first thing you do in the morning?
You know those soap operas where they wake up and they start kissing and making out? I don't do that! I have to brush my teeth, and then we can get busy!
5 What's been your proudest moment?
The teacher of my kids [with girlfriend Angela Zackery] said, "Those are great little people." Never mind the grades; when I see comments like that, I'm proud!
