Paula Abdul to Host VH1 Divas

Paula Abdul has a new gig: The former American Idol judge has been tapped to host VH1 Divas, a star-studded live concert event airing Sept. 17.

And like her shocking announcement that she is not returning to Idol, Abdul took to Twitter to reveal her big news.

"Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's "Vh1 Divas"!" she Tweeted.

In a follow-up post, she said, "This year's VH1 Divas show will honor Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus – I am so excited!!"

The ultimate ladies' night will take place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York.
