It's a big day for Ethan Zohn, as he takes viewers along for a series of tests and scans at the hospital to determine whether or not three months of intense chemotherapy has been enough to knock out his cancer.
"I don't know if I've ever been this nervous before a test before," Zohn says in his latest video diary for PEOPLE.com. "It's pretty scary."
Zohn, who has been in treatment for a rare form of Hodgkin's disease since May, is suffering a cold as he gets ready for the tests – another scary thing, he says, for a cancer patient whose immune system has been knocked out. But he also takes a moment to laugh at his attempt to pencil in some eyebrows, after losing his real ones (along with the rest of his hair) during chemo.
Finally, after sharing some more laughter with a nurse who's seen injecting him with isotopes for his PET and CAT scans, Zohn talks about being nervous to find out whether there are still cancer cells in his body – a result that would require more chemotherapy and possibly radiation.
"I don't really know what to think right now," he says, "but I'm gonna hope for the best, and be confident and positive. I'm pretty sure that we're going to get some great results. So cross your fingers."
