The Houston native and his wife were arrested in rural Marfa Thursday afternoon, and were in custody awaiting arraignment, according to Gracie Parras, an administrator for the Presidio County Sheriff's Department. "All I can tell you is they're waiting to see the judge," says Parras.
According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department, a fancy hotel complained earlier this month that the Quaids had not paid their bill. Their bail is $20,000 each.
Quaid, 58, is a former cast member on Saturday Night Live, perhaps best known for his roles in the National Lampoon Vacation movies, Kingpin and Brokeback Mountain. He's also the brother of actor Dennis Quaid.
A rep for Quaid was not immediately available for comment.
