Khloe Kardashian's engagement was far from ordinary, and the wedding won't be so ordinary either, says the bride's stepfather, Bruce Jenner.
"Khloe keeps saying she does not want a traditional wedding," Jenner, who raised Khloe from the age of five, told reporters at the opening of Palazzo Las Vegas's Lagasse Stadium Friday. "She does not want the first dance thing. There is no maid of honor as of right now."
At 4:30 on Sunday, Jenner plans to walk Khloe down the aisle at the house of a friend in Los Angeles where the ceremony will be held before 250 guests. Set to wear a dress by Vera Wang, Khloe will have sisters Kim and Kourtney in her bridal party, though Jenner doesn't know who will be on groom Lamar Odom's side.
"I just met him a couple of days ago," Jenner says of Odom, a player with the Los Angeles Lakers. "He seemed like a wonderful guy."
Jenner admits that even the way he found about Khloe's engagement was unconventional: he heard about it on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.
"Honestly I thought it was a joke," he says. "Then I was on the driving range later that day and someone came up to me and said, 'Congratulations, I hear your daughter is getting married.' Then it was on the news that night and I thought, maybe there is something to this."
Any fatherly advice for the bride-to-be? "You've seen [her] show (Kourntey & Khloé Take Miami)," Jenner says. "You don't give Khloe advice."
