Just two weeks into her Wonder World tour and Miley Cyrus
is already feeling the strain of life on the road.
"Woke up with a sore throat," Cyrus, 17, posted on her Twitter account Tuesday, with a frown face emoticon. "Why am I always sick?"
Though she tried to get plenty of rest before her show in Salt Lake City Tuesday night, the singer ran off stage while performing "7 Things" and a stage manager told the crowd that Cyrus needed medical attention, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
She re-emerged onto the stage after 15 minutes and completed the show, but later announced she had strep throat.
Cyrus told her fans via Twitter on Wednesday to keep their "fingers crossed" she feels better for her nighttime Omaha concert.
In the Cyrus family, laughter seems to be the best medicine. The 'tween star posted a Twitter photo of her famous father, Billy Ray Cyrus, dressed in a blonde wig and hospital mask, saying "These are the times that my daddy REALLY comes in handy. He made me smile through the worst pain I've ever felt."
Before she kicked off her second tour this month, Cyrus – who filmed the movie The Last Song this summer and then jumped into tour rehearsals – 'fessed up to feeling fatigued. "I'm a little tired I will admit but I'm just taking it easy when I can and take care of myself," she told PEOPLE.
