The Rules of Engagement star, 33, and his actress wife, 36, are already parents to son Wilder Brooks, 2.
Of his son's arrival in August 2007, Hudson said, "It was crazy, the most insane, intense experience of my life. I went through every range of emotions...the fear and love, it was all coming down on me at once. It was intense."
The couple, who have been together for nine years, were married in a beachside ceremony in Mexico in June 2006 attended by sister Kate Hudson and mother Goldie Hawn.
Rules of Engagement airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.
