Life (and Work) Goes on for Kate Gosselin

After a bitter week of back and forth with estranged husband Jon Gosselin – and TLC's announcement that the network is dropping Jon from Jon & Kate Plus 8 – Kate Gosselin is sticking to business as usual. The reality star is planning a trip to New York next week – and will keep busy with a media appearance and a bit of socializing.

On Monday, Gosselin is scheduled to appear on the Today show to discuss the latest moves by estranged husband to halt filming of the show.

During an appearance on Larry King Live on Thursday night, Jon said he was planning to leave the show even before the network dropped him, claiming it was damaging to his children. For her part, Kate issued a statement saying, "Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children and was taping on Friday with the kids."

During her New York visit, Kate is also expected to attend a party Monday night at the Empire Hotel's rooftop to celebrate her recent View co-host Sherri Shepherd's new Lifetime sitcom, Sherri. The celebration will be co-hosted by Barbara Walters.

Jon, meanwhile, has been across the country in Los Angeles where he's taped an appearance on The Insider's panel, which will air on Friday. CBS has also confirmed that he will appear on The Insider on Monday and Tuesday.
