Both dressed in chic black, Lautner, 17, and Swift, 19 – who are costarring in the movie Valentine's Day – attended the game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center.
Earlier in the day, the country singer and her driver picked up the Twilight hunk at Los Angeles airport before heading to the game.
After catching some hockey, the costars were seen in the lobby of a hotel in Beverly Hills. "Taylor Swift was all dolled up and looked super pretty," an eyewitness tells PEOPLE. "She didn't seem to mind the attention … Taylor Lautner, on the other hand, was hiding under a hoody."
The costars closeness doesn't come as a surprise to anyone who saw Swift give Lautner a very special hug at her concert in Chicago a couple weeks ago.
Reps for both did not immediately return calls for comment.
