Imagine the super-fueled powers of Twilight and Heroes teaming up with the teens with biting social prowess from Gossip Girl and 90210. Now imagine that they actually accomplished something besides brooding and backbiting – like combating HIV and AIDS.

It's happening for real – without the vampire strength – as actors from Twilight, Gossip Girl, 90210, Heroes, and other television shows and movies make their stand against HIV on World AIDS Day 2009 on Nov. 30.

Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Hayden Panettiere, Corbin Bleu and others will be asking young people to help fight poverty and disease in a series of public-service announcements for the Coming Together as One campaign.

"We know this generation that can help defeat extreme poverty, put more kids in school and protect families from preventable disease such as AIDS, TB and malaria," says David Lane, president and CEO of the global advocacy group ONE.
