REPORT: Billy Joel Says Daughter Will Be Fine

Billy Joel has spoken out about his daughter Alexa Ray Joel's condition following her hospitalization Saturday afternoon.

"She is going to be fine," Joel told Newsday late Saturday evening.

The 23-year-old daughter of Joel and model Christie Brinkley was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital Saturday afternoon after a female caller placed a call to 911.

Following Alexa Ray's hospitalization, her rep issued a statement saying, "She is stable and her doctors are assessing her needs."

According to reports, Alexa Ray swallowed an unknown quantity of pills following a breakup with her boyfriend.
