Gary Busey has a lot to look forward to in the new year: He's going to become a dad.

Busey's agent and longtime attorney, Vicki Roberts of Kismet Talent Agency, tells PEOPLE Busey's girlfriend, Steffanie Sampson, is 7-months pregnant with a boy they have named Luke.

"He feels awesome about it, he's excited and thrilled and can't wait," Roberts says.

Busey has a 38-year-old son, Jake, an actor, from a previous marriage.
