Jaime Pressly never wanted to tie the knot. But a girl can change her mind.

A mere four months after the Emmy winner, who plays trailer-queen Joy Turner on NBC's My Name is Earl, met entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, Pressly was sailing down the aisle, dressed in a Jenny Packham embroidered tulle gown, aglow with diamonds and pearls. Witnessing the picture-postcard September wedding on a Malibu bluff overlooking the Pacific – where the bride danced with her father to Louis Armstong's "What a Wonderful World" – were 200 guests.

Now others may get a glimpse at the nuptials, in the winter 2010 issue of InStyle Weddings. Pressly, 32, says that even though her romance was whirlwind, the relationship is firmly grounded.

"I've been on my own for 17 years. I have a son, Dezi James, who is 2 years old [from former longtime boyfriend, DJ Eric Cubiche] and a successful career," she says. "I'm not flying by the seat of my pants. We're both ready."

Yet the sizzling connection between her and her now-husband felt like a bolt from the sky. "I was attracted to him right away. His smile, his beautiful skin – and there's a wonderful intelligence about him," she says.

In the past, Pressly admits she was usually attracted to charismatic guys – and the 6',4" Singh is ultra-reserved. "I loosen him up a bit and he makes me feel protected and loved," says the smitten bride. "Sim is the first person I met that I was confident I would be able to grow old with."
