Don't worry about Two and a Half Men being a full man short going into its new season – Charlie Sheen will be back on the set of the hit CBS show on Jan. 4 as if his holiday domestic-abuse arrest didn't happen, according to a source.

"We'll assume that Charlie Sheen will definitely be there," a source close to production tells PEOPLE. "We don't expect this to [affect the show]."

Sheen, 44, allegedly pulled a knife and threatened wife Brooke Mueller, 32, during an alcohol-fueled fight that broke out during Christmas dinner. He was arrested and booked for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief in Aspen, Colo., and faces the possible end of his marriage.

Sheen, who denies pulling a knife on his wife, was released the night of his arrest on $8,500 bond, and is due in court on Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. in Colorado. He returned to Los Angeles, where his TV show is filmed, while Mueller remained in Aspen with the couple's two 9-month-old sons.

Sheen hasn't yet been formally charged by prosecutors, but if they do go ahead, the production team of Two and a Half Men is ready, the source says.

"If he has to go to court on the 8th, it's only one day, and we can work around it," the source says.

CBS and production company Warner Bros. Television have no comment.
