The two hits have raked in more than $300 million and reminded audiences how adept Bullock has always been at switching gears between drama and comedy—as her turns in 2005's Academy Award-winning Crash and in the Miss Congeniality comedies also attest. But these days Bullock (happily married to TV host Jesse James since 2005) is also getting Oscar buzz. "Men love her and women love her, and that's extremely hard to pull off," says Reynolds. "To know her is to love her, but also to just watch her is to love her."
