The newly engaged 30 Rock actress says her hairstylist played matchmaker to her and her fiancé, clothing-designer Robert Godley.
"We were set up by my hairstylist," Krakowski told PEOPLE at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards. "He knew I had a thing for English men, and he knew I needed to be with a good guy. And that's what I met and fell in love with."
Things moved quickly after the couple began dating. "We're older!" says Krakowski, 41. "We've dated a few other people before. You know when you know."
And Krakowski, who announced her engagement two weeks ago, has a new nickname for her hairstylist: "We call [him] Cupid now."
Godley wasn't at her side on Globes night, but only so more of her castmates as possible could attend the ceremony. "We didn't get to bring dates," she said. "We wanted to be able to get as many people from the show."
Of the Beverly Hilton's International Grand Ballroom, she said, "It's tight in there!"
