had a special dinner companion at Philippe West Hollywood recently. The rocker was enjoying a leisurely dinner with Selena Gomez
, along with his brother Joe
. The group picked a spot in the private wine room near the back of the restaurant. Still, an onlooker says, "Nick led [Selena] through the restaurant – and they seemed close." Characterizing the two as "very friendly," the onlooker adds, "[Nick] was a gentleman, making sure the crowd didn't bombard her."

, looking good in her black gym clothes, had a long discussion with staff and fellow shoppers at Whole Foods in Venice, Calif., at the cooked meat counter. The actress was debating the merits of tri-tip versus brisket as she figured out what to buy. "[She was] really sweet and friendly with everyone," an observer says, adding that she apologized for taking so long to make up her mind. In the end, Zellweger left with 1 lb. of tri-tip, well done, with the fat trimmed off.
After cozying up on the red carpet at the recent L.A. premiere of Dear John

and Jenna Dewan
continued hanging out at h.wood, where they attended an official afterparty. "They were cuddling and holding hands," a guest says. The duo danced the night away, and the guest tells us, "She was totally beaming. She looked so proud of him."
While Britney Spears
spent time in Miami and then at the Grammy Awards, Kevin Federline
was spending time with their boys Preston, 4, and Jayden, 3, along with with his older kids, Kori and Kaleb, at the Chatsworth Oaks Park. "Preston and Jayden had a blast at the park," an eyewitness says. "They took their shoes off and ran around the sand." Federline's girlfriend, Victoria Prince
, joined everyone, and the eyewitness tells us, "[She] was great with the kids – and she and Kevin seemed very happy together.
