at the Dario Contrera Hospital in Santo Domingo, where she was accompanied by Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, a representative of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and the son of Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa. In the aftermath of the devastating quake, Jolie and partner Brad Pitt
aided the relief effort by donating
$1 million to Doctors Without Borders to provide medical assistance to those in need of emergency care.
