Now, attorney Yale Galanter is threatening to file a lawsuit on behalf of Charlie Sheen's wife alleging "a major breach of confidentiality."
"I am livid," Galanter tells PEOPLE. "These people are buffoons."
Mueller, 32, had checked into the treatment facility earlier this month, the latest in a series of events that began Christmas day when she and Sheen, 44, got into a fight that resulted in the actor's arrest on domestic violence charges.
She transferred out of The Canyon on Sunday night and went to what Galanter calls "a more secure, confidential and private environment."
"She is still in Los Angeles where she can be close to her twin sons," he adds. "She is doing very well and will continue her healing process.”
Reps for The Canyon did not return calls.
