No way, say their friends, unless you count Perry's recent flirtations with a redhead who's good with children and tickles her fancy.
The singer tweeted giddily last week about her time on the Sesame Street set, saying she just might be falling for Elmo.
"Sunny day today! I think I'm in love … Sorry (Russell)!!!" she wrote on Twitter, posting a photo of her with her arm around the muppet.
Other than that, Perry couldn't be more in love with Brand, pals tell PEOPLE, dismissing British tabloid reports that Brand is tiring of commitment.
"They're very busy but very much together and in love and supportive of each other's careers," a friend tells PEOPLE, adding that Brand, 34, has inspired Perry's forthcoming CD. "Because of her relationship with Russell and how in love they are, she's making the best music of her career."
