She's loved animals all her life, so it's only fitting that the print edition of Ellen DeGeneres's life story would benefit furry creatures big and small.

Bluewater Productions has just announced that DeGeneres is the latest star to be featured in their Female Force comic book series, available on Wednesday, with a portion of proceeds going to the Humane Society of the United States.

The comic book, which will sell for $3.99, traces the talk-show host's life from her childhood in Louisiana to the comedy circuit, and later to fame on TV. It also touches on her love of animals and her desire to become a veterinarian as a kid.
