Bundy will perform her playful single "Giddy On Up" on television for the first time at the April 18 awards show in Las Vegas.
"I want to make [my performance] interesting and entertaining," Bundy, 28, tells PEOPLE. "We'll be in Vegas so I want to do a little Cirque du Bundy – some tightrope walking, light myself on fire, real live horses."
All kidding aside, Bundy promises that fans will see a lot of the choreography from the video, which has been streamed more than 1 million times, and "you can pretty much guarantee I'm going to be wearing a pair of hot chaps," just like she does in the video, she says with a laugh.
Kentucky-born Bundy, who will release her country album Achin' and Shakin' on April 13, may have conquered the Broadway stage with starring roles in Wicked, Hairspray, and Legally Blonde, for which she received a Tony nomination, but says the ACMs will be her most nerve-wracking performance to date.
"It's the ultimate," she says. "It's not even being on television in front of millions of viewers – it's more like all of your peers are there and you're finally part of this community."
