"There's a 50-50 chance this divorce is not happening," King's lawyer Dennis Wasser tells PEOPLE. "His focus is on the best interest of his children. It's not clear to me which way he's going to turn on this issue."
The revelation comes as King and his wife Shawn attended counseling Monday. In a separate statement, Wasser says, "It was decided that there will be no divorce proceedings for two weeks as several issues need to be discussed and resolved."
King and his wife were seen walking arm-in-arm Sunday at their son's baseball game in Los Angeles. The couple, who have been married for 12½ years, have two boys.
The pair also embraced at a previous game one day after both filed for divorce amid rumors of infidelity.
